If you look at a bar of 18K gold that is 38mm x 32.4mm x 12.6mm is 299grams. Gold is now at $36.86 per gram. This is 1,1021.14 for solid 24K Gold. We know it's 18K gold, so we multiply that by .75 and get $8265.86 for a solid gold bar that Apple would use as the Die to build this part of the watch. Now granted, they would carve out a lot of that and round off the corners, But I'll leave that math for someone else. I don't have the time to count the pixels on the screen and do a more accurate calculation
